As the conclusion of the season, with the theme NATURES, Ateliers 195-197 organises a manifestation LIGHT (in nature). This event is part of the Kunstlijn 2008 festival.
It is an activity where what is highlighted is the affinity with each other and with location, specifically the outside-location of Meer en Berg where Ateliers 195-197 is found, in the middle of history, landscape, culture and nature.
Diverse artists from various disciplines have been invited to present, and these are artists with a connection with light, nature, green, flora, trees, the environment, climate, seasons etc. Attention is given to the fragile nature, in this time of climate and ecological problems. Attention is given to imagery of the beauty of nature through the centuries. Light also means colour, shadow, space, mystique, atmosphere, energy, symbolism, contrasts etc.
Rob van der Nol, Leo Divendal, Steven Blad, Willemijn Faber, Jack Prins, Inge Evers, Jacobien de Rooij, Johan Breuker and Sjoerd Buisman give a varied image of their modus operandi, their views, their insights.
