Erster Schultag (first schoolday), is a project of several parts.

The project is about the change/threshold that takes place in the mind of the child on his/her first day of school. It is a change from being a child-at-home, to a child-in-school-and-public.

The parts are:

* pestalozzi: exhibitions

* a manifestation/fest

* the book, "erster schulgang: eine metamorphose"

the manisfestation/fest was an event where 2000 children were presented with a zuckertueten (bag of goods) for their first school day. for this fest, games, theatre, story-telling etc were created. 50 sponsors contributed to the event
