PLAT(T)FORM at the Winterthur Fotomuseum, Zurich, Switzerland

The Fotomuseum Winterthur is starting a new series of events. Under the title "Plat(t)form", emerging photographers will present their work each year on the last weekend in January. The work will be on display each time for two hours on tables in the museum, five or six photographers at a time. The weekend is intended to provide the photographers with the opportunity of introducing themselves, and the interested public and professionals with the chance of viewing the work of "emerging artists" once a year. A group of experts will be present ot enter into discussios with all the photographers. The selection of the photographers ensues in two stages: firstly, photographers will be nominated by national and international curators, teachers and journalists, and the Fotomuseum Winterthur will subsequently select about 40 photographers from Europe.
